In the year 2002
Toztizok, an anarchist alien guerrilla commando from the planet Toz, layed
siege upon youthcentre „De
Bakkerij”, Castricum, Holland. Unnoticed by the mainstream media,
this battalion of music oriented alien vagabonds after a short but violent
battle secretly took control over „De Bakkerij” and from this
foothold blasted off new, experimental, rusty music and culture, only
to mould across the netherlands and from there, conquer earth (not changing
very much, lazy sons of bitches).
Much of these villains also took part in the Experimental Jetset endangering
venues in the area by changing interiors drastically with trash and old
computers, making and playing experimental zoundz and trying to test and
maybe blowing some minds, expanding the limits of others. In this group
there were individual 'artists' making their own shit which got to call
themselves Toztizok Zoundz (possibly coming from ‘tosti’ and
‘sok’, the first two terranean words attracting attention
from the Tozmen, arriving at this planet, actually quite hungry). They
continued doing the Jetset under the Toztizok monniker. Many manic CD-R's
were pressed and sold to this day to unlucky terranians.
The succesful sister project Kofvitok
(from a unsuccesful satellite planet of Toz, called Kofv) emerged shortly
after the beginning, giving spaced out alien friends a chance to experiment
in bizarre recording and over-enigmatic semi hilarious live performance,
not quite understandible by the human species.
Toztizok Zoundz provides venues with performances, screens, mutations,
morphingz, interiorchange and DtozJ's which can fill the entire week.
